Battle Summary:
In February, 1862, Brigadier General Ulysses S. Grant would start an offensive against the Confederate Army of the Tennessee.  On February 6, utilizing Admiral Foote's powerful river gun boats, Grant would receive the the surrender of the troops garrisoned at Fort Henry, on the Tennessee River.  Moving across the finger of land, between the Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers, Grant would receive the capitulation of the army garrisoned at Fort Henry, on February 16....  More>>>>
