Interesting Fact(s):    Blamed by Ambrose Burnside, for the failure of Fredericksburg, Lincoln would send Franklin to Texas, where his military career would languish.  After the Civil War, Franklin would become general manager of Colt's Fire Arms Manufacturing Company.
