Interesting Fact(s):    Reynolds would be named Commandant of Cadets, and instructor of tactics, at West Point, in September 1860.  He would participate in all the major battles, with the Army of the Potomac, starting with the Peninsula Campaign, and going through Gettysburg.  After being appointed Major General, in November 1862, he was assigned command of the I Corps, at Fredericksburg.  Reynolds would be instantly killed, at the opening of the Battle of Gettysburg, and would remain one of the highest ranking Union generals, killed in battle, during the Civil War.
