Interesting Fact(s):    Davis was a brave fighter, leading his troops through the entire Civil War.  After a quarrel with his previous commanding officer, William Nelson, he shot and killed him, in Louisville.  Charges were never pressed against Davis, however he did not receive another war time promotion.
