Interesting Fact(s):    Humphreys' grandfather had drawn up the plans for "Old Ironsides", and her sister frigates, to create the first U.S. Navy.  Humphreys' was an engineer, by trade, and was George McClellan's Chief Topographical Engineer during the Peninsula Campaign.  He would go on to a field command, leading his division against Marye's Heights, at Fredericksburg.
